"State Farm and the Jon MOCK insurance agency on Main St. in Wheaton are behaving like a cohort of thieves. On April 20th, I paid $609 for auto insurance. On April 25th, they called me to say that since they were transitioning to a different system, my payment did not transfer. Therefore, I needed to make another payment of $607, although my money felt real when it left my account. Four months later, I have not received my refund yet, after communicating with them 14 times. They claimed that a refund check was mailed, although it did not arrive, twice. So, we agreed that the next check would be mailed to their office, which did not arrive of course. At the agency, they assured me that the check was coming, but Customer Service confirmed that no check was mailed. In Escalation, Michael said that a wire transfer was completed on Sunday 08/11/2024 and even gave me a reference number B89EV6FF. So, I called my bank on 08/14/2024, the representative told me that the reference number does not mean anything, and that no $607 were transferred into any of my accounts. The Oxford dictionary defines a lie (noun) as "[that] is used with reference to a situation involving deception or founded on a mistaken impression". Legally, a fraud is an illegal act that involves deceit, concealment, or a violation of trust. It can also be defined as a knowing misrepresentation of the truth or the concealment of a material fact to induce someone to act to their detriment. Fraud can be intentional or negligent, and it can be used to gain money ..., to avoid payment ... or to secure ... business advantage. Therefore, we have a situation of insurance fraud. This business must cease to operate."

"I'm on the federal "do not call" list and he cold called me anyway. I can't trust a business who decides they are too good to do something as simple and required as honoring that list."
